About us

If you’re looking for a veterinary surgery that combines a personal and friendly approach with efficient and top quality treatment, look no further than Blackwater Valley Vets. We have two practices, one in Camberley and one in Frimley Green, with appointments available every day of the week.

When your pet is under the weather, you want to be sure you’re taking them somewhere that has all the resources and expertise to deal with the problem. At Blackwater Valley, our team has over 50 years’ experience between them, and are well accustomed to treating a variety of animals from dogs and cats to birds and exotics.

Aside from health checks, nurse clinics and surgical procedures, we are also able to offer specialist services to further enhance your pet’s healthcare. Additionally, acupuncture sessions are available for a variety of pets, and have proven success in treating chronic pain, arthritis and skin infections, to name but a few.

As a pet owner you’re probably already well aware of the expenses associated with their care and day-to-day living. Our Pet Health Club is an ideal way to manage the costs of veterinary care, as well as making sure your furry friend has all the check-ups and treatments they need to keep them in the peak of health.

For more information about the services we offer, or to book an appointment for your pet, please feel free to call our Gordon House practice in Camberley on 01276 22193 or our Elm Cottage practice in Frimley Green on 01252 837154.

Blackwater Valley Vets was first established by Mr Craddock, who is still well known in the local community. Since 1950, we have provided consistently excellent care to the pets of Camberley, Frimley and the surrounding areas.

The service you will receive is personal and tailored to the needs of your pet, whilst always remaining affordable and accessible. Our genuine passion for animal welfare drives every member of our team, as demonstrated by the amount of work we do with local animal charities and rescue centres. Most of this is done with our own time and money – we simply couldn’t bear to see any animal suffer when we could step in and help.

Both of our practices are accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). In order to sustain this title we must pass regular inspections on everything from hygiene and cleanliness to staff training and client communication. The fact that we hold this status means that you can be sure your pet will receive the best possible care whenever they come to see us.

Gordon House – Camberley
Our Gordon House practice has been a veterinary surgery for almost 60 years. It’s a recognisable pillar of the community due to the sheer length of time it has been in existence.

Appointments are available here 7 days a week, for your convenience. We have a full range of testing and medical equipment, which means we can diagnose and treat your pet as efficiently as possible, with no need to ever outsource any care.

Elm Cottage – Frimley Green
Our Elm Cottage practice was previously a doctor’s surgery, but has been home to a veterinary business since 1980.

Appointments are available Monday-Saturday. Full surgical and laboratory facilities are also in use at this practice, as well as x-ray and ultrasound equipment to allow us to thoroughly examine your pet.

We have all the on-site facilities to care for your pet, whatever the problem might be

Whenever your pet needs to visit us, whether it’s for a standard health check or complicated surgical procedure, you can be sure they’ll receive the best possible care.

The range of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment at both of our practices allow us to diagnose and treat your pet efficiently and effectively. Our modern operating theatre means that we can carry out soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, and our private laboratory produces test results almost immediately.

The radiography, ultrasound and ECG machines help us to carry out further investigation on your pet to identify the cause of problems that may not have obvious symptoms. Whether they’ve broken a bone, have an irregular heartbeat or are suffering from internal bleeding, we’ll be able to detect the issue and treat them accordingly.

Nurse clinics are available to any of our patients, and cover a variety of topics including dental care, behavioural problems, weight management, and nail clipping. We also have particular clinics for senior pets and those with diabetes, to give you specific advice on the best care for them.

If you’re going on holiday abroad and want to take your pet with you, we can also help you with export health certificates  and administering any additional vaccinations they may need. These vary depending on your destination, but we’ll be more than happy to advise you on what is required to keep your pet safe from any foreign infections.

Should your pet have a persistent medical condition that doesn’t respond well to conventional medication, or perhaps suffers side effects, we are also able to offer alternative treatment in the form of acupuncture. Acupuncture is an ancient Eastern method, involving placing very small needles into specific points on the body to stimulate natural healing, and has proven success over thousands of years. Please speak to one of the team if you are interested in acupuncture therapy for your pet, and they will be happy to give you more information.

To book an appointment for your pet, please feel free to call our Gordon House practice in Camberley on 01276 22193 or our Elm Cottage practice in Frimley Green on 01252 837154.
